Engine Oil (w/Filter Change)

Approximate quantities! Use oil only meeting VW 502.00 standard. If VW 502.00 is not available you may use oil (synthetic preferred) meeting either ACEA A3, A5 or B5, API SL or ILSAC GF–3 for topping off only (not more than 0.5 qt/ltr). Do not overfill! Overfilling engine oil can cause misfire DTC’s to be stored in Engine Control Module (ECM) -J220-. To prevent overfilling, add approximately 0.5L less than capacity, start engine and let run until engine operating temperature is approximately 60C (140 F), turn OFF ignition, wait approximately 3 minutes, check dipstick, then fill to MAX. Viscosities 5W40,5W30 or 0W40. Turbo engines only: After changing oil and filter, start and run engine at idle till oil pressure light goes out. Do NOT rev the engine, this could cause damage/failure of turbocharger.
